Farside Accounting

Company filing deadlines checker

Opening soon. Farside Accounting Ltd's registration with HMRC for anti-money-laundering supervision is in progress. We are happy to talk now, and will take on client work once that registration is confirmed.

Enter a company number to see what the company owes Companies House and HMRC, and when. Accounting practices can paste a whole client list and get one sorted table back.

General information, not advice. Accounts and confirmation statement dates are live from Companies House. Corporation tax dates are worked out from the accounts period end. They assume the company is active, its tax period matches its accounts year, and it isn't paying in quarterly instalments.

What each deadline is

Confirmation statement
Due at Companies House within 14 days of the end of the review period. See company filings.
Annual accounts
Due at Companies House 9 months after the accounting reference date for a private company, or 21 months after incorporation for a first set covering more than 12 months. See statutory accounts.
Corporation tax return (CT600)
Due at HMRC 12 months after the end of the accounting period.
Corporation tax payment
Due 9 months and 1 day after the end of the accounting period, so before the return. See corporation tax.

A company's first year

A first set of accounts can cover more than 12 months, but an accounting period for corporation tax can't. In that case HMRC sees two periods and two returns, so the checker flags the company rather than guessing the dates. How the first year works.

For accounting practices

Paste your client list, download the CSV, and you have the next year of statutory dates in one sheet. If the list shows more year ends than your team can cover, that's the work we take on: outsourced accounts preparation and CT600s, prepared for your sign-off.
