Farside Accounting

Opening soon. Farside Accounting Ltd's registration with HMRC for anti-money-laundering supervision is in progress. We are happy to talk now, and will take on client work once that registration is confirmed.

Engagement

Scope, pilot, then run.

Three steps and no long onboarding, so you can judge the work rather than the pitch.

The three steps

  1. Scope

A short call to establish what you need done, how much of it, and how often. No forms.

  2. Pilot

A defined, small first engagement with no expectation of continuing beyond it.

  3. Run

Turnaround agreed per service before work starts, a named reviewer on every file, and a single point of contact.

Commitments

What we will hold ourselves to

Stated as commitments, not as achievements. There is no track record to quote yet and inventing one would be the fastest way to lose your trust.

FAQ

Questions people actually ask

Everyone

Who actually does the work?
A dedicated production team, not a rotating pool — the same people on your account engagement to engagement. Full detail on how the delivery model and data handling work is available on request before you send anything.
How do you keep quality consistent?
Every file gets a named reviewer before it comes back to you; nothing goes out on a first pass. Turnaround and escalation notice are agreed per service, in writing, before work starts.
What software do you work in?
Xero-first, and comfortable in FreeAgent, QuickBooks Online and Sage — see what we do for the full stack.
How does billing work?
Pricing is quoted after a short scoping call, as a fixed figure for the work described. We do not publish a price list.
Where is the work done, and where does our data go?
We are not accepting client records yet. Where and how your data is handled will be set out in full on the legal & regulatory information page before any records are accepted. Until then, an enquiry needs no records at all.
What if the pilot doesn't work out?
That is the point of starting there — a small, defined engagement with no expectation of continuing beyond it.

Accounting practices

Will you contact our clients?
No, unless you ask us to. The client relationship, the engagement letter and the anti-money-laundering checks stay with your practice.
Who signs off and files?
You do. We prepare the work ready to file; final sign-off is never ours, and submission goes out under your credentials. The full split is on the services page.

Businesses and individuals

What do you need from me before you start?
Proof of identity first — UK anti-money-laundering law requires every accountant to verify who their clients are. After that, your records or access to your ledger.
Can I start with just one thing?
Yes. That is what the pilot is: one small, defined piece of work, with no obligation to continue after it.
Will anything be filed without my say-so?
No. You see the finished return or accounts and approve them before anything is submitted.
I am already late with a return. What should I do?
Tell us which return and when it was due. Late-filing penalties rise the longer a return is outstanding — the amounts are on the key dates page.

Start with a scope call

A short call on what needs doing is usually enough to tell whether this is worth either side's time.
